The Young Bangla project is targeted in response to youth engagement and empowerment. Through intensive field work and research, it will gather the information and enlist the youth organization from all corner of Bangladesh whoever is working for the betterment of the country. The project consists of different kind of components and events. Joy Bangla Youth Award is one of them that are to recognize the positive social welfare movement of the youth of the Bangladesh.
The Joy Bangla Youth Award will be presented to the young active citizens exemplify the spirit of youth and provide extraordinary services to their communities through innovation, determination and revolutionary thinking. These individuals dedicated themselves in developing action plan and lasting solutions on local and global levels. Youth organizations run by the volunteers all over Bangladesh will participate in the competition by submitting their project portfolio. There will be eminent personalities of Bangladesh and foreign missions present in the jury panel to finalize the award winners from the nominated persons from the young Bangla board for their contribution in the respective categories. They will be also the Guest of honor to present the award to the winners.
Joy Bangla Youth Award will be given in 10 categories to 30 young achievers in their sectors among them the top ten will be nominated to Ten Outstanding Persons of the world from Bangladesh organized by JCI worldwide.
A glimpse of JCI TOYP
The TOYP programme of Junior Chamber International (JCI) serves to recognize individuals between the ages of 18 and 40 who exemplify the best attributes of the world’s young people. Since 1983, JCI has honoured over 200 individuals from 47 nations. Honorees selected in past years have represented the heights of progress in numerous human endeavors. Living the JCI mission and serving humanity in extraordinary ways, many of these young active citizens have gone on to even greater achievements. Each TOYP honouree is an outstanding example that, with creative enterprise and hard work, no problem is too difficult to solve: Each is a living example of JCI’s belief that “Earth’s great treasure lies in human personality and that service to humanity is the best work of life”.
10 categories of honor are as follows

• Academic leadership and/or accomplishment
• Cultural achievement
• Moral and/or environmental leadership
• Contribution to children, world peace, and/or human rights
• Humanitarian and/or voluntary leadership
• Scientific and/or technological development
• Personal improvement and/or accomplishment
At the end, it is mentioned that the Joy Bangla Youth Award will continue to recognize the contributors in different sectors that would encourage both the youth and experienced to contribute in national development.
