Online Public Awareness Campaign by CRI Amid Corona Outbreak

Bangladesh has been battling with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic for almost two months now. The government of Bangladesh enforced a countrywide lockdown on March 26 to restrict further outbreak. On the health front, the government has been mobilizing testing kits, lab and treatment facilities, health service providers and PPEs. It has announced stimula package worth BDT 95,619 crore for various sectors to address the impact of the pandemic. The government has also launched a nationwide food and cash transfer program to support poor and low-income families during the shutdown.

From the ouset of the pandemic, CRI has been engaged in Corona related info dissemination and public awareness building through its online platforms. It has been following government’s policy directives, guideline and measures towards public health, fiscal, social safety net and other sectors which are hit hard by the Coronavirus pandemic.

So far, CRI has prepared a number of infographic banners on Corona testing and treatment facilities, safety guideline, incentives and insurences for health service providers, government’s fiscal packages for different sectors and emergency relief program during the lockdown enforced by the pandemic. CRI also prepared audio-visuals (CGs) on PM Sheikh Hasina’s thirty-two directives, measures to boost food security and the government’s emergency relief program.
