Joy Bangla Youth Award 2018 ceremony was held before a houseful auditorium at the Sheikh Hasina National Youth Development Institute Savar on October 28, 2018. The program got rolling with a welcome note from Nasrul Hamid, MP, honorable state minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources and one of the trustees of CRI.
Ms. Akie Abe, spouse of the Japanese PM, unveiled the Japanese version of graphic novel ‘Mujib’ together with Ms. Toshiko Abe, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Rehana, daughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Mr. Radwan Mujib Siddiq, publisher of ‘Mujib’, and Bangladesh ambassador to Japan Ms. Rabab Fatima on 26th November at the Embassy of Bangladesh, Tokyo.
Docu-drama ‘Hasina: A Daughter’s Tale’, based on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was released for public in movie theatres on 16th November 2018. It demonstrates a heartrending biopic of what the title of the film portrays, which is a fascinating account of a daughter’s perspective how the country’s darkest hours had changed her life forever.
On 15th April, 2018 Centre for Research and Information (CRI) organized the 20th session of its flagship event, ‘Let’s Talk’ at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dhaka, this time with Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Advisor to the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina – Mr. Sajeeb Wazed.
It took six months, eight divisional meetings, 70 activations in 40 districts and campuses, 100 field visits and 1,300 applications and one grand ceremony. Finally, Young Bangla has given 50 youth-led organizations from around the much-anticipated Joy Bangla Youth Award 2017.
