The Joy Bangla Concert 2020, held at Army Stadium on March 7, commemorated the spirit and courage relayed to our countrymen nearly five decades ago by the Father of the Nation, through his historic speech on March 7, 1971. The speech inspired the nation to prepare for a war of independence amid widespread reports of armed mobilisation by West Pakistan. more

Lighting the Fire of Freedom: Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman: CRI’s tribute to the father of the nation

Dhaka Art Summit 2020, initiated by Samdani Art Foundation with support from the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, was held at the Shilpakala Academy from February 7 to 15. More than five hundred artists, sculptors, curators, critics, collectors, architects and art professionals from different countries including Bangladesh participated in the grand event of contemporary art. Live events including artistic performances and panel discussions were simultaneously underway at the extravaganza. more

Launching "Action Day", Mujib Graphic Novel Part 7

The much awaited part seven of the Mujib ‘graphic novel’ series on the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was unveiled today, on 2nd February at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2020. The Centre for Research and Information (CRI) organized the launching ceremony of graphic novel ‘Mujib-4’ around 12 pm, on the Bangla Academy premises. more
