Bangladesh: Education for All

Bangladesh Progress and Development 2016-17

This publication looks at the state of progress and development in some of key sectors of Bangladesh as it stands at the end of the 2016-17 financial year. It highlights the major developmental transformation aspects that earned itself labels like ‘Development Miracle’ and ‘Development Wonder’. This includes development updates on economy, social justice, energy, healthcare, food security, infrastructure projects, education and technology advancement.

Bangladesh Inclusive and Quality Education

Bangladesh has witnessed tremendous progress over the past decade in all forms of education, particularly in girls’ education. This publication looks at the efforts and successes. In this publication, we look at the initiatives and major achievements for ensuring inclusive and quality education for all. In addition to the landmark achievements, this publication also covers national policies for education support and the initiatives for the expansion of higher education.

Bangladesh Peace and Security

This publication looks at the state of progress and development in some of key sectors of Bangladesh as it stands at the end of the 2016-17 financial year. In today’s world, national and global security face their toughest challenge from the twin menaces of terrorism and violent extremism. This publication covers the nation’s fights against terrorists and violent extremists under the leadership and zero tolerance policy of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Bangladesh Leading in Women Empowerment

The Bangladesh government, considers women’s engagement in political and economic activities as one of the main drivers of transformation. This publication covers the Bangladesh’s progress in women empowerment across the years and the initiatives taken by the government in this sector. It includes the initiatives taken for creating equal opportunities, the special measures taken to promote women empowerment.

Bangladesh Health Progress

Bangladesh has witnessed drastic improvements in its health and nutrition scenario since its independence in 1971. This publication highlights the key successes and the policy and strategy development and implementation of health and nutrition interventions taken by the government. Some of the topics covered includes women & children’s health, sectoral improvements, nutrition interventions and services offered at community levels.

Bangladesh Development Journey| A Comparative Update

The publication looks at the development progress of Bangladesh from 2009 to 2016 and gives a comparative data of the development works during 2001-2006. This includes all major developments aspects starting from economy, infrastructure, communication, agriculture, environment to power and energy. It also covers comparative data on education, healthcare, social security youth and sports development.

Let’s Talk with Sajeeb Wazed

On 26th July, 2017 Centre for Research and Information (CRI) organized the 18th session of its flagship event, “Let’s Talk” with Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Advisor to the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina – Mr. Sajeeb Wazed. This session of “Let’s Talk” was divided into three segments – Infrastructural Development in Bangladesh, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) or Digital Bangladesh and least Contemporary Bangladesh. This event also aimed to facilitate open dialogues between a top politicians or policymaker and members of the young generation to share their views on national development.

Bangabandhu Murder Case: Journey, Accomplishments, and Remaining Challenges

Centre for Research and Information (CRI) organsied the seminar "Bangabandhu Murder Case: Journey, Accomplishments, and Remaining Challenges" at the auditorium hall in the Bangabandhu Trust Memorial premises. This event being held on the National Mourning Day aimed to pay homage, respect and tribute to Bangabandhu and other victims of that darkest of nights. The half-day academic seminar had opened floors for discussions and offered insights to one of the most important and landmark decisions of our legal history, the Bangabandhu Murder Case.
