Centre for Research and Information (CRI) had an extensive presence at the 20th National Conference of Bangladesh Awami League, Being held on the 22nd October and 23rd October 2016, this two day mega democratic exercise is taking place at Dhaka’s historic Suhrawardy Udyan and the Engineer’s Institution. CRI had lined up a host of activities and creations designed especially for the attendees at the council, publicize the history of the party as well to ensure maximum engagement of the people at large with the event in question. In this report, we will look at the publications and printed materials prepared by CRI for this event.
Booklets
CRI prepared four booklets especially keeping in mind the history of the party and its current President and Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. These publications were distributed for free on the first day of the conference at the venue. a) Journey of Bangladesh Awami League (1949-2016): A publication in English which provides a brief account on the history of the oldest and largest political party of the country with rare images on a decade-by-decade basis. The publication can be read and downloaded here

b) Sheikh Hasina on the International Stage: A publication which highlights the important and growing role Sheikh Hasina has played for Bangladesh, her party and the government on the international stage in her two previous and current tenures as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. c) বাংলাদেশ আওয়ামী লীগের সংক্ষিপ্ত ইতিহাস (১৯৪৮-২০০৮) (‘Bangladesh Awami League er Shongkhipto Itihash 1948-2008): – A publication in Bengali which provides a brief timeline on the history of the oldest and largest political party of the country with images on a year-on-year basis.
