On 7 March 2018, Young Bangla and its secretariat Centre for Research and Information (CRI) will once again be organizing the “Joy Bangla Concert” at Army Stadium, Dhaka for the fourth consecutive year. Apart from the music, there will be telecast of the historic speech and the ambience of 7th March, 1971 will be recreated through the performance by different groups of artists. This year for the first time, the main concert was preceded by a two-concert road show by ands Nemesis and Mechanix, who performed at the AMA Muhith Sports Complex in Sylhet on 3rd March, followed by another concert at the Circuit House field in Khulna on March 5th.
Leading rock bands this year’s concert includes Artcell, Cryptic Fate, Nemesis, Arbovirus, Shunno, Lalon, Chirkutt and Powersurge. Young Bangla’s secretariat, the Centre for Research and Information (CRI) has been initiating the concert with the aim to reignite the sense of patriotism and nationalism among the youth of Bangladesh. A line up of leading and popular bands will entertain the crowds with their own songs along with patriotic and motivational songs of “Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra” which inspired our war heroes during the liberation war.
Apart from the musical performances, there will also be some presentations on the historic 7th March to bring the history into a deliverable tune to the youth. Above all the arrangement, coloured presentation of the historic 7th March speech is of great attraction.
There will be different stalls of Young Bangla and CRI to showcase and merchandize the CRI and Young Bangla publications and other materials. Food stalls from different tastes and vendors will also be available for the food crawlers. There will be free WIFI available in the venue.
